When Johannesburg went dark, creativity had to shine. This collaboration between Lalela and Builders turned the city’s power struggles into a design opportunity — transforming everyday communication into bold visual storytelling.

The challenge? Build visibility and trust in a time defined by uncertainty.
The solution? Big, bright, and beautifully functional design that lights up even the dullest days.

When Lalela and Builders teamed up to offer power solutions, they needed more than functional graphics—they needed something that stood up, stood out, and spoke loud.

That’s where the billboards entered the story: bold messages in big spaces. And the packaging? It followed suit—crafted to catch the eye while honoring the heart of the brand.


Charged Up Creativity 

The project combined billboard design and packaging solutions — two very different canvases that had to speak the same energetic language.
From highways to store shelves, every design balanced utility and emotion — making sure the visuals worked as hard as the products they represented.

We built a cohesive system where clarity met charm, and function met fun, creating visuals that were both powerful and personable.

This project wasn’t about decoration — it was about declaration.
We focused on purpose-driven simplicity, making sure every billboard shouted the message loud and clear while staying effortlessly readable and brand-consistent.
